West System 206 Slow Hardener is a low-viscosity epoxy curing agent for use when extended working and cure time is needed or to provide adequate working time at higher temperatures.

I was wanting the can pictured in the picture, however the description for the product was different than the picture, so I received a much smaller, round can. The product itself is excellent. I would recommend the product. I would be careful and read the description to make sure the product matches the picture.

I use this epoxy to do furniture repairs. It's the best I've used. This hardener gives plenty of working time to get things right.

This epoxy is what we use on shafts for ships to protect them from rust, and it works extremely well, but the stuff thats in the SDS is extremely toxic compared with other epoxies, if you take a whiff of this stuff or have a large surface area of wet epoxy that is uncured the diethylenetriamine poisoning can easily kill you. My lungs were filling with fluid 24hrs after I was fiberglassing a tailshaft for a ship.

Being summer, I really want the extra pot life time that this slower hardener allows. It also has little or no blush when cured and even as a slow hardener, usually set up to the touch in 12 hours

I purchased online a gallon of West System 105. When I was making my online order I selected the web page for the 206 hardener . The web site came up with a picture of the 0.87 quart size of hardener next to which was the description (I didn't notice the description was for the "A" size) inadequate for the gallon of 105 I purchased. I didn't notice the error until the shipment arrived with a gallon of 105 and about one cup of 206. This mis-leading web sit photo caused an error that has delayed my project. The photo on the web site should match the description and change when you select a different size.

I have used the resin and both 205 and 206 hardener for many years for boat repairs and custom door making . The bond is very strong.

Even though it is winter, I still use the slow hardener. I just don't like to have my pot go off before I"ve used all that I mixed. This stuff is excellent.
